His entrepreneurial experience includes co-founding an insurance corporate agency since 1988 till present. For eight years, he also helmed a firm that publishes and distributes children’s educational products.

Initially, pursued training out of personal interest and eventually turned it into a business in 2008, thereafter co-founded Jix Sze & Partners in 2018. His training consultancy experience includes inspirational talks, training workplace skills, train-the-trainer programmes, learning and development advisory and career consultation. Was engaged with several institutions as principal consultant, adjunct trainer and adult educator, skills mentor, and business advisor. Developed an online reflective tool for adult educators. Pioneered and conducted a career guidance programme for professionals in the continuing education and training (CET) sector. Did two development initiatives involving certification courseware for two agencies. One, an advanced certificate in career development facilitation for career coaches. The other, an advanced certificate in supported employment for employment job coaching of persons with disabilities. Delivered talks and training on different subjects relating to professional development, personal empowerment and social topics. Jix is an avid advocate of the indomitable spirit of humans. On a personal front, he speaks on matters relating to a drug-free life and addiction recovery endeavour. He also preaches and conducts workshops on marketplace topics for the Christian community.

Holds a Master degree in Training and Development, Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE), Diploma in TESOL, Diploma in General Insurance, Diploma in Life Insurance, Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), and a Global Career Development Facilitator Certificate (GCDF). He is the author of Chasing The Dragon Out: An inspiring story of a drug addict’s altered destiny.

Jix came from a challenging background. From a life of drug addiction, an odd job labourer; with no qualification and poor in the English language – against the odds, today, he is a businessman and trainer.

Her early childhood care and education (ECCE) experience began in 1987. With ground experience as a teacher, principal and programme director with a global preschool, involving in preschool management and worked with two months old infants to primary school level in student care programmes. Trained, coached and mentored teachers, principals/centre directors and curriculum specialists from local preschools on centre and education management, and also on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Worked for leading preschool providers and educational institutions. Involving in ECCE higher learning, training and curriculum design. Headed a faculty for ECCE programmes as assistant professor at a private education institution and concurrently its research fellow. Developed and lectured a Master of Early Childhood Education Programme for a local university. Sat on Academic and Examination Boards. Was director of professional and education development with a community foundation, thereafter co-founded Jix Sze & Partners. Spoke at numerous ECCE seminars, conferences and learning festivals. Received the Singapore 2004 Lifelong Learner Award (WDA & Mediacorp Singapore) from the Prime Minister of Singapore.

Holds a Doctorate in Education, Master of Education in ECE, Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies, Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE), and an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).
